This Privacy Policy explains how BoardWise Analytics LLC ("BoardWise," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use BoardWise websites, dashboards, account pages, email-link login, and related services (the "Service").
This draft is written for the current BoardWise beta. It should be reviewed by counsel before large-scale public launch, paid subscriptions, advertising, affiliate links, or mobile apps.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, account status, email verification status, plan/access level, and optional display name.
- Authentication information: one-time login challenge records, session records, hashed session/login tokens, and security metadata such as hashed IP address and hashed user-agent where configured.
- Usage and device information: pages requested, API requests, timestamps, browser/device information, approximate network information, and logs needed to run and secure the Service.
- Email delivery information: delivery status, suppression/bounce records, provider message information, and recipient email address for login-link delivery.
- Payment information: paid checkout is not live yet. If subscriptions are enabled, payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not intend to store full card numbers on BoardWise systems.
How we use information
- To create and manage accounts, send passwordless login links, verify sessions, and enforce access tiers.
- To provide free previews, paid/member features, admin-only performance pages, and product support.
- To prevent abuse, rate-limit authentication, investigate suspicious activity, debug outages, and maintain security.
- To send service messages such as login links, account notices, and operational updates.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
Cookies and similar technology
BoardWise uses essential cookies for authentication, including secure session cookies. These cookies help keep you signed in and enforce the correct access level. We may also rely on Cloudflare services, including bot-protection and security tooling, which may process request and device information to protect the Service.
We do not currently sell personal information. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies on the static frontend.
How we share information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Service, including hosting, security, email delivery, analytics, support, and future payment processing providers. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent fraud or abuse, or in connection with a business transfer.
Security and retention
We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect account and authentication information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. We retain information as needed to operate the Service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Your choices
- You can stop using the Service at any time.
- You may request account deletion, correction, or access by contacting [email protected].
- You can clear cookies in your browser, but doing so may sign you out.
Children and age restrictions
The Service is not directed to children. Because BoardWise contains sports-wagering-related analytics and responsible-gaming content, you must be at least 21 years old, or the legal age required in your jurisdiction, to use wagering-related features.
